Enshrouded 1.0 Summoner Build Guide
Summons are a new spell category in Enshrouded 1.0: three elemental totems and a skeleton, plus two skills that let you keep more of them out at once. This is what has been confirmed and what is still missing.
The four summon spells
Keen called summons "a new category of spells" Keen Games. The skill column shows which new skill raises how many of that summon you can have.
| Spell | Type | Raised by |
|---|---|---|
| Summon Fire Totem | Totem | Totem Mastery |
| Summon Ice Totem | Totem | Totem Mastery |
| Summon Shock Totem | Totem | Totem Mastery |
| Summon Hollow Skeleton | Skeleton | Advanced Necromancy |
The totem names point to fire, ice and shock damage, but Keen has not described what each totem actually does. Skeletons get a nod to the existing tree: "We know many of you love the necromancy part of the tree so we threw some friendly faces in there."
The two summoner skills
- Advanced Necromancy: more skeletons.
- Totem Mastery: more totems.
Both are listed among the new mage skills Keen Games, so a summoner is a branch of the mage side of the tree rather than a separate class. Keen added them "in case you want the whole gang with you". How many summons each skill adds was not given.
Is summoning new?
Summon spells are new. Early Access already had summoning items: the Patch #14 notes in April 2026 fixed the Summoning Staff tooltip and the mana cost of the Necromancer's Skull Summoning Vessels Keen Games. Whether those items stay, change or are replaced by the new spells in 1.0 has not been said.
Planning a summoner for launch
This is our read, not a tested build.
- Start from the mage changes. The skill tree is reset for everyone, and mana costs were rebalanced around damage. Read the mage build guide for the shared changes.
- Decide totems or skeletons first. The two cap-raising skills are separate, so committing to one family is likely cheaper than splitting points.
- Mana Drain may matter more here. It is the only announced spell that returns mana, and summoning on top of casting will cost mana from the same pool.
- Keep a damage spell or wand ready. Until we know how long summons last and how they behave, assume you still have to fight yourself.
Not announced yet
Open
- How many summons you can have before and after Advanced Necromancy and Totem Mastery.
- Whether totems stay where you cast them, how long any summon lasts, and what it costs to cast.
- Where the four summon spells drop or how they are crafted.
- Skill point costs and positions in the tree.
